Biography
The Abderval Vocal Group takes its name from the Hebrew word Abderval, which means “Protected by God”. Founded in 2011 and officially recognized on April 20, 2012, the group is based in Beira, Mozambique, and has grown into a respected ministry of gospel music in the region.
Founding & Early Years.
The group was founded by Doricas, Alberto, Rosa, and Obed, who were later joined by Adão. With a shared passion for worship and harmony, they began ministering through music in churches, community events, and gospel concerts. Over the years, many talented voices became part of the journey, including Nancy, Jemima, Theodora, Sheila, Inês, Nigel, Maphossa, Rafael, Amina, Shanila, Geraldo, Daniel, Mazula, Rabeca, Sandra, Jenny, and many others who contributed to shaping the group’s identity.
Ministry & Mission
Abderval Vocal Group is committed to using music as a tool of evangelism, inspiration, and unity. Their performances combine powerful vocal harmonies with heartfelt lyrics, carrying messages of faith, hope, and perseverance. The group’s mission is not just to perform, but to minister — touching hearts and lifting souls toward God.
